ILP- "Participation" - Educational Twitter Chat

For my ILP, I engaged in an educational Twitter chat about current technology in classrooms. A trend I noticed in the discussion, and one that intrigued my teacher philosophy, is the increasing use of 3D printers in various subject areas.In a commentary to an educational technology company's tweet about releasing new products, I expressed my interest in the technology and how it is adaptable for many classroom environments. Research about 3D printers and access to them locally lead me to uncover a "hackerspace" called Making Awesome, a place where experts in fields of design and construction share and exchange knowledge. The discovery of a business as such sparked inspiration for my future lesson plans, which both involve observing and interacting with educational software and technology.
